"It is great having a major triathon in New England. REV 3 was the first race I put on my calender for 2009." ~ Mike Caiazzo

Bio

Born:  July 27, 1976

Birth Place:  Gorham Maine

Growing up I was always a runner.  I ran in high school at Gorham High School where I ran a 4:21 indoor mile.   After graduating from Gorham I ran track and cross-country at Duke University all 4 years.  My senior year I was co-captain of the cross-country team.  I started racing Duathlons in 2002 and qualified for the World Championships in Switzerland where I placed in the top 10 in my age group in my first year competing in multisports.  I have been racing triathlons since 2003 and turned pro at the end of my 2005 season.  A typical training week for me is anywhere from 5-15 hours a week, but for most of the time I am under 10 hours a week.

I am married to my wife Megan and we have two sons,  Jack who was born 11/12/06 and Hunter who was born 04/14/2007.   We also have two very active dogs, a black lab named Radar and a westie named Baylie who accompany me on many of my runs.  I also work full time as a hedge fund accountant for Stone Coast Fund Services in Portland Maine.
