There a lot happening race day. Follow this checklist to make sure you don't miss a beat and adhere to REVOLUTION3 Knoxville's race day rules and procedures.

REVOLUTION3 Triathlon Knoxville Triathlon: Race Day Rules & Procedures

Equipment:

  • Race ID wrist band
  • AMB Chip Timing System & ankle strap
  • Swim cap
  • Swim goggles
  • Wetsuit highly recommended
  • Properly fitted bike
  • Approved bike helmet
  • Tire repair kit
  • Running shoes
  • Cycling shoes
  • Sun screen
  • Towel
  • Socks
  • Filled bike water bottles
  • Energy bars & energy gel

Always double check to make sure you have all of your gear!!!

Transition Area:

  • All bikes must be racked in the proper position on Saturday, May 15, 2011.
  • Bike racks provided will be individually numbered.
  • Your equipment must be removed from transition by 6pm race day.
  • REVOLUTION3 Triathlon is not responsible for lost or stolen equipment left in transition.
  • Only participants, officials and race volunteers are allowed in transition.  An event wristband is required for access.
  • Extra equipment is not allowed in transition. Transition is fenced and secured.
  • CPSC approved helmets are required during the cycling portion of the event. You will be prohibited from participating if you don't have an approved helmet.
  • Helmets must be buckled in place during all aspects of the bike including transition.
  • You must walk or jog with your bike in the transition lanes to the designated mount; dismount areas at the perimeter of the transition.

Race Numbers & Body Marking:

  • Your race number must be visible on your body, bike frame, bike helmet and front of your race jersey or waist belt.
  • Body marking will be limited to shoulders, right calf & left calf.

Timing:

  • Participants are required to wear the designated Timing Chip  strapped to their ankle, throughout the race.
  • Relay Team Members must pass the strap/chip at each transition.
  • After you finish, turn in the strap/chip at the end of the finish chute.
  • If you pull out of the race, report to the finish line timing tent to turn in the strap/chip and go to the transition area to collect your gear (after 3pm).
  • There is a $40 charge for a lost Timing Chip / strap.
