Full Rev Swim Course Route Map

Alternate Full Rev Swim Course
As many of you know, conditions in Lake Erie can be awesome one hour and a little sketchy the next! We have taken this into consideration and have worked on an alternate plan in case the worst happens. To the East of Cedar Point is the wide open Lake Erie and to the West is a more sheltered Sandusky Bay. Should the wind and waves pick up on race day, we will move the swim to the west side of the peninsula where the conditions will be much calmer. Instead of a one loop swim course, we will change it to two loops. No duathlon at REV3!!!!!

Safety Plan/Policy:
- Wearing swim goggles or a face mask is recommended, but optional
- No fins, paddles, snorkels or flotation devices of any kind allowed
- Traditional wetsuits are not required but are highly recommended.
- Timing Chips must be properly fixed on your ankle.
- No individual paddlers or escorts allowed. Course will be adequately patrolled by surfboards, kayaks and patrol boats.
- Swimmers will be required to have raced officials mark race number on shoulders and back of hand.
- Please do not apply sunscreen or Vaseline to areas bearing your race number prior to numbering. Numbers must remain on during the swim.
- Time penalties may be imposed on athletes not behind the official start line 5 minutes prior to race start.
- Swimmers are required to stay on course, swim clockwise and keep course markers on their right. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
- Any assistance required during the swim will result in disqualification.
- Contestants that are swimmers only will remove the chip timer off their angle and give to the officials. This is a security measure designed to maintain an accurate count of swimmers in an out of the water above and beyond the electronic chip counting system.
Each Swimmer must wear the colored swim cap provided by the Director.
